The next generation of copiers has recently been unveiled by Canon. These new Multi Functional Devices ( MFDs ) offer advanced personalisation of workflows and an enhanced operator interface. The new screen is clearer and has a totally upgraded menu system.

The engine is also completely new with improved paper handling and colour control using the pioneering ARCdat system. The colour reproduction is spectacular and printing speeds have been improved up to 51 images per minute and scanning up to 100 ipm.

Canon Black & White with Smart Colour Copiers

Canon has three machines in its black and white with smart colour range. The devices are designed for primarily black and white useage with occasional colour. The copiers reproduce colour well and are ideally suited to offices where the majority of printing is in black and white but have a need to print colour, such as front covers or the occasional page within a document. The Black and white speeds vary from 31 to 68 pages per minute while printing colour at upto 16 pages per minute.

Canon Multifunctional A4 Colour photocopiers

The compact multifunctional A4 Colour iRC1021i is an affordable device boasting high quality printing and copying at 21 pages per minute. The print resolution is an impressive 2,400 dpi x 600 dpi which means that images will be well defined and crystal clear. The isend functionality now means you can send emails, scan to your desktop or ftp straight from the machine. The intuitive display and scroll wheel makes using the machine a breeze.

A network port and USB connectivity enables the machine to print over your office network or connect directly to a local computer. PDF documents can be created automatically by simply scanning with the device. The documents are compacted to make sending faster and use less network bandwidth. Canon Smart Colour photocopiers

The Smart Colour range of copiers from Canon offer high quality colour reproduction and printing in a compact machine. The machines range in full colour speeds of between 23 to 30 pages per minute and can also print in black and white at approx 10% faster than the colour speed. The compact size of the machines means that they take up the minimum amount of your valuable office space with a footprint of just 22". The compact size is achieved by clever design and an internal finisher which means that your documents do not need an additional peripheral to staple

A booklet maker and large capacity paper deck are available as options, and are the perfect addition for those who wish to produce brochures, handouts, instruction manuals etc . The booklet maker will create a fully folded and saddle stitched ( center stapled) booklet of upto 60 printed pages (15 sheets) in A4 or A5 size

Canon Professional Colour

Professional Colour machines from Canon are designed to satisfy the exacting standards of clients who wish to print in full colour. The CLC4040 and CLC5151 print at 40 and 51 pages per minute in full colour and can also scan at 70 images per minute in full colour. A flat paper path ensures that colour alignment and paper handling is consistently good. The paper capacity is considerable with upto 5,000 sheets of available paper from 6 stocks. Output capacity is a whopping 4000 sheets when used with a finisher option allowing large print runs without the need to frequently replenish the paper. The machines can even print onto tabbed paper, perfect for reports, files and manuals etc

For true postscript printing Canon offer a Rastor Image Processor (Rip) from Fiery which complements the print engine perfectly. The Rip offers additional benefits such as rip while print to speed up printing, extensive colour management tools and smart ripping of print jobs to reduce network traffic.
